There are various types of cars nowadays. It can be categorized into brands, types, size and others. Four-wheeled drive vehicle and multi-purpose vehicle is one of the types. They can be differentiating through social classes, appearances, function and price.
The first four-wheeled drive vehicle was designed by Ferdinand Porsche and this type of vehicle is very popular among those who love adventure. Four-wheeled drive vehicle received torque from the engine simultaneously. Thus, it provides better control than normal road cars on many surfaces and is an important part in the sport of rallying. A four-wheeled drive vehicle can be used in low traction situations where the wheels have the ability to slip as needed. Some people thought that four-wheeled drive vehicle is too large. The fact is, four-wheeled drive vehicle is taller and can fit 5 passengers like sedan. Normally, those who drive four-wheeled drive vehicle for the first time will notice the difference between four-wheeled drive vehicle and sedan because of its height. Four-wheeled drive vehicle has bigger size of tyres and usually has a specific place for a spare tyre. A four-wheeled drive vehicle can be sold from RM72 540 and can exceed to RM 200 000.
Those who have children mostly own a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Multi-purpose vehicle larger than sedan and has about the same height as four-wheeled drive vehicle. It usually features three seat rows with two or three seat each. The seats are designed to be relocated, removed or folded completely under floor which allowing variable seating capacity and cargo room. Thus, it will provide more space and can fit more things in it. Since the multi-purpose vehicle normally used by those who have family, it is suitable for travelling and carry six up to eight passengers in it. A multi-purpose vehicle is about RM72 750 and can exceed to RM180 000.
To end with this statement, it is obviously stated that both four-wheeled drive vehicle and multi-purpose vehicle are two different type of vehicle that has its own pros and cons from its social classes to the price.
